A Good Sign! Think snow everyone!!

After a warm and beautiful summer in Sunshine Meadows, Mother Nature started something different as fresh snow blanketed the village over the weekend. The late-summer snowfall is a great sign for skiers and riders, as it bodes well for our planned Nov. 11 opening.
“This is the signal – get your gear in for a tune-up,” says Doug Firby, Associate Director of Communications. “The season is just around the corner.”
Sunshine is known for having Canada’s Best Snow – the natural dry champagne powder that no snowmaking equipment can match. Alberta’s favourite snow resort also has the longest skiing and snowboarding season in the Rockies.  So, if you haven’t purchased your 2009-10 season’s pass, now is the best time to buy one. They have a sale ending as of Sept. 30 and as a pass holder, you can save up to 20 per cent off food and beverage, as well as rental discounts and savings at more than 40 area retailers, restaurants, hotels and entertainment spots.
